# Reverse

Turn coordinates into the nearest place.

`GET /v2/reverse`. Auth: API key or our website.

## Parameters

| Parameter | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|
| `point` | Yes | `lng,lat` |
| `lang` | No | Two-letter code such as `en` |

## Example

```bash
curl -s -H "X-API-Key: $QUADRUPER_KEY" \
  'https://quadruper.com/v2/reverse?point=122.5621,10.7202&lang=en'
```

## Response

The response is `{"results": [...], "attribution": [...]}` with at most one result, in the same shape as [`GET /v2/geocode`](geocode.md). `"results": []` means nothing is nearby.

Results depend on the geocoder running behind the API. At a point in the sea, one geocoder returns the enclosing village, city or country and another returns nothing. On land, one may return a building where another returns a point of interest. Don't rely on a specific level of detail.
