# Try the test map

Run route, search, address, nearest, travel-time and matrix calls in your browser and see the request behind each one.

Open the [test map](/test/map/). It has a tool for each `/v2` call, and it shows the request it sent and the response it got.

## What needs a key

To go past the trial limit, paste your own API key into the map. The page keeps it in memory only, and it's gone when you close or reload the page.

## What the trial doesn't cover

The keyless trial only works from the test map in a browser. Scripts, apps and other websites need a key: [request one](quickstart.md).

Keyless travel-time and matrix runs share a small queue with every other visitor, so they can take longer than keyed calls. Don't use them to judge the API's speed.
